Design and FLash

Since this project is about mergering disciplines, I decided to use mainly existing artwork for a project im currently working on. I wanted to see how flash could be used to help me create compositions that I couldnt figure out by myself. I randonmly animated the elements, then exported a jpeg sequence. The result is a lot of spontaneous compositions that I would not have made by myself.

Its really beautiful in a design sense. I've seen the printed version and this is much more interesting to me because you are talking about biology, which is not a static entity.

At first I thought this was too simple or whatever, but when it looped over I found it to be actually really nice. In fact I like its minimal design and I think it works for the piece - which is overall very design-based. So sorry for thinking that..

This piece has a cool rhythm to it. I like the contour lines how they make this series of curvy lines. I will say that it has a inner design quality. The constant movement that your piece has is really cool. I think that the piece probably could of been pushed by maybe adding more of those lines though.

I really like the topographical look of the whole thing as well as the play of chemistry symbols. It very romantic, in that how it moves, transforms, and grows. Its design like qualities make it interesting, instead of using bitmaps, but I think the whole assignment was to incorporate bitmaps.
